What is a Chiropractic Subluxation?
What is a Chiropractic Subluxation?
There are normally twenty six movable bones in the human spine. As a Chiropractor I have studied how these bones house and protect the delicate nerve tissue within them. If these bones misalign they can put pressure on this delicate nerve tissue and interfere with the vital information that this nerve tissue transmits from the brain to the body. Research has shown that 5mm of mercury pressure on a nerve, about the weight of a dime, is enough to effect the function of the nerve. These bone misalignments result in what chiropractors call spinal subluxations. The brain's ability to regulate and control the many functions of the body; including its cells, organs, glands, and chemistry, just to name a few, can be interfered with by these spinal subluxations. These spinal subluxations not only affect nerves and their functioning, they also interfere with the proper functioning of the inborn self-regulating mechanism of the body that helps keep the body functioning at its optimum potential.
Chiropractic care utilizes spinal adjustments to correct spinal misalignments to remove nerve interference.

Chiropractic Subluxation
Chiropractors correct subluxations. Subluxations decrease nerve function, often resulting in symptoms, like back pain, but not always, but always result in dis-ease.
How do I know if I have a Spinal Subluxation?
You can have a spinal subluxation and you may not even know about it. Much like tooth decay or cancer, a spinal subluxation can be present for a long time before any warning signs appear. Many times the first spinal subluxation may occur during the birth process when we are wrenched and pulled from our mother's womb. When the body is unable to adapt to all the many everyday environmental stresses, they overcome the resistance of the body's muscles and ligaments causing the spinal bones, or vertebrae, to misalign and many times we are not even aware of it. There is only one sure way to know if you have a subluxation and that is by being under the care of a skilled chiropractor.

Chiropractic, what is it?
Chiropractic is a health care profession concerned with the diagnosis, treatment and prevention of disorders of the neuromusculoskeletal system and the effects of these disorders on general health.
Chiropractors emphasize spinal adjusting for the treatment of vertebral subluxations. Currently, chiropractors practice in over 100 countries in all regions of the world, however chiropractors are most prevalent in North America, Australia and parts of Europe.
Chiropractic was founded in 1895 by D.D. Palmer. Evidence supports spinal dysfunction/subluxation as a possible cause of disease. This has led to a critical evaluation of a central tenet of chiropractic and the appropriateness of the profession's role in treating a broad spectrum of disorders that are unrelated to the neuromusculoskeletal system. Although there is external and internal debate within the chiropractic profession regarding the clinical significance of joint dysfunction/subluxation, the manipulable lesion remains inextricably linked to the profession as basis for spinal manipulation.

Chiropractic helps correct Spinal Subluxation
We can and should make every effort to keep our spines as free as possible of these spinal subluxations. Some spinal subluxations may be prevented by common-sense living, but many will still occur. It is important that we get our spines checked regularly by our chiropractor in order to correct spinal subluxations as soon as they occur. Chiropractic care is essential to optimum body performance. A properly functioning nerve system enables the body to reach its fullest potential in restoring and maintaining health, as well as, enhancing all the other areas of life such as job performance, academic excellence, and athletic accomplishment.

Rule #120365 Encompasses personal religious beliefs as a basis of exemption. Federal court upheld
first amendment protection for religious objections to immunizations and require only that theapplicant hold a sincere belief that is religious in nature. • If this waiver requirements involve healthcare providers pertaining to exemptions that are of a
personal religious belief this would be a complete violation of the first amendment of the US constitution.

As a Chiropractor specializing in family care, not just pain relief. We firmly believe that everyone needs to be informed. Personally, I believe that you should send letters to your legislators and tell them that this is not ok.
Dear Mr. Monning,
! I am sure you have been getting a lot of opposition
letters to AB2109. I have been lecturing on vaccine adverse
events and laws since 1989. What amazes me is the
absolute disregard for a parents rights to choose the type of
healthcare for their children. Being a child of 2 Holocaust
survivors, I get a little nervous when I see a citizens rights
being taken away. To force a parent to go to a MD when
they may not choose medicine for their healthcare choice
seems similar to forcing Germans to disassociate with
Jews. I know this seems like a very harsh example, but I do
not take this subject lightly. Freedom with Permission from a
MD are you kidding me?! What kind of a major conflict of
interest does Richard Pan MD have to only allow parents to
go to a MD to get permission to exercise their rights in
California and their option to waive questionable unproven
and possibly even unsafe and untested vaccinations. There
is little or no research on the safety and effectiveness of
vaccinations, but there is a huge body of evidence showing
lists of adverse events from vaccinations.

Back pain. Should I see a surgeon?
Should I see a medical doctor for my low back pain?
We hear that a lot. Before I answer that question let me tell you a little about us:Barton Chiropractic in Concord is recognised as one of the top Chiropractic offices, having received that award two years in a row. Our Concord chiropractic office has helped thousands of patients.
Dr. Barton has trained several doctors throughout the united states on how to provide what many feel is the most effective and gentle Chiropractic available.
It is our strong belief that the most effective care begins with constant researching, training and studying. Dr. Barton himself has attended over 200 post graduate seminars, and has published numerous papers on Chiropractic.
The medical profession has been trying new things for back pain since the inception of medicine. New research pops up almost daily. I believe the best chiropractor needs to stay on top of anything that could benefit his patients. This recent medical research study shows without a shadow of a doubt, medicine has no way to help back pain, or at least it is very ineffective. Especially when compared to Chiropractic care.
Nonsurgical interventional therapies for low back pain: a review of the evidence for an American Pain Society clinical practice guideline.

OBJECTIVE:
To systematically assess benefits and harms of nonsurgical interventional therapies for low back and radicular pain.SUMMARY OF BACKGROUND DATA:
Although use of certain interventional therapies is common or increasing, there is also uncertainty orcontroversy about their efficacy.
METHODS:
Electronic database searches on Ovid MEDLINE and the Cochrane databases were conducted through July 2008 to identify randomized controlled trials and systematic reviews of local injections, botulinum toxin injection, prolotherapy, epidural steroid injection, facet joint injection, therapeutic medial branch block, sacroiliac joint injection, intradiscal steroid injection, chemonucleolysis, radiofrequency denervation, intradiscal electrothermal therapy, percutaneous intradiscal radiofrequency thermocoagulation, Coblation nucleoplasty, and spinal cord stimulation. All relevant studies were methodologically assessed by 2 independent reviewers using criteria developed by the Cochrane Back Review Group (for trials) and by Oxman (for systematic reviews). A qualitative synthesis of results was performed using methods adapted from the US Preventive Services Task Force.RESULTS:
For sciatica or prolapsed lumbar disc with radiculopathy, we found good evidence that chemonucleolysis is moderately superior to placebo injection, and fair evidence that epidural steroid injection is moderately effective for short-term (but not long-term) symptom relief. We found fair evidence that spinal cord stimulation is moderately effective for failed back surgery syndrome with persistent radiculopathy, though device-related complications are common. We found good or fair evidence that:
- prolotherapy,
- facet joint injection,
- intradiscal steroid injection,
- percutaneous intradiscal radiofrequency thermocoagulation
CONCLUSION:
Few nonsurgical interventional therapies for low back pain have been shown to be effective in randomized, placebo-controlled trials.Comment in
